What better place for GROUND to start fresh than in its home state?
Oregon is a very unique place. Settled by many with a dream of leaving establishment behind, and nestled between the progressive epicenters of California and Washington State, the spirit of exploration and adventure are still alive and well in this stunning place we call home. Mountains, rivers, lakes, deserts, ocean fronts, volcanoes, and everything in between have made this state a destination for many wishing to unplug and return to nature. In the spirit of holding those values close to our hearts, GROUND seeks to connect you to the Oregonians who are on the front lines of changing our world for the better.
But before we jump in and connect you to these incredible personalities, let’s give you an overview of how GROUND is structured, and what it means for you, the reader and listener.
I, Jacob, will still be managing this SubStack.
SubStack will remain a home for more general conversation about spirituality, conscious leadership, and support for those looking to get out there and get their voices heard. Expect to hear from thought leaders who mobilize us and inspire us into collective action.
There are a lot more podcasts coming, as you can probably tell from the title of this first one based on a state in the USA. Opportunities to showcase conscious leaders are going to present themselves all over this country, and in all likelihood all over the world. We’re just going to start growing where we’ve been planted, and we’re super optimistic that the enthusiasm and support from our awakened audience is going to mean prosperity and world change for all parties involved, including you.
GROUND is Now a Podcasting Company…
…not just a podcast. This means we’ll also be producing content for clients outside of GROUND who will retain full intellectual property rights to the content we’re able to create and mine from this robust video podcast format. If you’re reading this and you’re ready to outsource your podcast to a media outlet with loads of experience and second-to-none service, look no further.
You can still expect to see plenty of content out of us (it’s what we do!), but you can also expect to see some BTS content from the shoots we’re doing all over Oregon and eventually (who knows?) all over the world.
It’s going to be a cool journey to watch. I’ve already been so encouraged by how supportive the conscious business community really is. Speaking of which, it might be a good idea to define “conscious business” so you really have a grasp on who we’ll be talking to.
In short, any leader who is advocating or endeavoring to make the world a better place from the individual level all the way up to the highest echelons of leadership is fair game for GROUND Podcasts, as either interviewees or clients.
Why conscious leaders?
Throughout our forays into marketing, branding, and storytelling, it’s become obvious that the ills plaguing our world are doing so at a systemic level. Capitalism, authoritarianism, technocracy, oligarchy… all of these entrenched -ism’s and phenomena culminate into a world that is sicker than ever at the hands of unchecked human “progress.”
The ones paying attention these days—the awakened—are the ones who understand that the only hope we have of meaningful world change must come in collective systemic answers to humanity’s collective shadow. We need to do our shadow work, together, and walk forward as one body into a brighter future. We need to collectively stand behind conscious answers to unconscious problems.
The more we spread the term “conscious leadership” and shine a light onto such personalities (again, not only at the upper echelon, but at the GROUND level of individuals doing work within their communities), the more we believe this concept can gain traction and cement itself as a way to make real change.
